A multi-Grammy award-winning writer/producer and a 40-year industry veteran who has worked with artists such as Slash, Eric Clapton, Cyndi Lauper, Sting, Joss Stone, Jeff Beck, Ashley Tisdale, Patti Labelle, Billy Gibbons/ZZ Top and a host of others. As a publisher, Robert has had over 3,000 songs recorded and has been awarded over 160 platinum records. Robert’s last publishing company was responsible for hits by Celine Dion, Jennifer Rush, .38 Special, Alice Cooper and many more. As the head of A&R for Hammond Music/Sony, Robert signed or developed artists ranging from Stevie Ray Vaughn and The Fabulous Thunderbirds to Megaforce Records (Metallica, Anthrax) and Venessa Williams. At MCA, Robert continued his streak of success with Madonna, Eternal, Cyndi Lauper, Celine Dion, and more.

After spending 15 or more years conducting songwriting
workshops for the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Robert is now
offering webinar workshops online. These workshops will be held
in the same format as the ones he held for many years. The workshop is geared towards
writing the best song you can with constructive criticism by
Robert. We will look at the structure, the lyrics, the melody, the
production and whatever else a writer may want to know to help
the song become ready for play listing and charting.
From time to time, guests ranging from popular songwriters,
producers and artists to A&R people in the industry will join in
and share their thoughts as well.
Writers and artists such as Lady Gaga and Lana Del Rey have
attended the workshops in the past.
